Keeping Ourselves Safe

On Monday the 7th of April 2008 we had a visitor called Constable Meg. She came to talk about Keeping Ourselves Safe. We talked about touch we like; touch we don't like and want to stop; and touch that is confusing and we want to stop. We also learnt the private body parts. We also saw her special police gadgets.

PADDER TENNIS

At Dunsandel school the Year 5's and 6's have been doing padder tennis.For the Year 6 boys the places are: Andrew 1st, Matthew 2nd, Tyler 3rd, Jarrod 4th and Mitchell reserve. We have been practicing in our lunch and play time. The Year 5 and 6 girls have also been practicing too. HAPPY PADDER TENNIS! =} Tyler and Matthew.

Today we went to life Education ,we learnt about the human body , we learnt about how ciggaretes are harmful. The name of the instructor was Lisa she was a very nice teacher. She told us what the liver does. It has more than 500 jobs. WOW. It was interesting and splendid fun and really cool.

On the 12 of March Room 5 played a new game called LONG BALL!!! It was quite confusing at first but in the end we got the hang of it. Well first you need 4 cones three tennis balls and a class full of kids. First you put the four cones into a big square. Whoever is starting should stand in between two cones and throw the three balls as far as you can but they have to bounce inside the square before they go out. Then you have to run as fast as you can to the other end of the square. The other team that are fielding have to catch you out or tag you with the ball before they get to the other end. The team that have got the most people there and back win.

Our first day for Room 5 blog 2008.

On Tuesday the 11th we started a P.A.T test. Today we had to do a Reading Vocabulary and it was really, really hard. We still have to do more...On Wednesday12th we did a reading Comprehension and that was so HARD!!! by Cheyenne Burgess.

On Tuesday the 11th we went swimming in rm 2's time we are very lucky because it was soo hot but luckily rm 2 went with rm1 we had fun the water was really warm.
Wednesday the 12th we also went swimming againg it was quite COLD!!! but we got used to it . We did relays they were awesome we had a great time. Maddison
